BARMOUTH BEACH

Located on the other side of the Pambula Rivermouth and nestled inside Ben Boyd National Park, Barmouth Beach is a firm favorite for those who like to get a little off the beaten track.

Accessible approximately 9km south of Pambula, turn left into Haycock Point Road to enter Ben Boyd National Park.  Barmouth Beach Road is on the left a few kilometres in - look for the sign.  It's a short drive to the carpark, then about a 200m walk down the hill to the beach, or look for the walking track leading out to the headland towards 'Old Man Rock'.

Barmouth Beach is a beaut little spot to spend the day with a picnic lunch and is popular for exploring rock pools, snorkeling, swimming, fishing, surfing and stand-up paddling.  It is suitable for small children but there is the 200m walk back uphill to the carpark.

There are no facilities, so make sure you bring everything you need with you including water and are prepared to carry any rubbish home with you.
